Stephanie Mhlanga-Fillyaw is a seasoned career and leadership development strategist with a track record of driving results. With a background in executive search and people strategy, she specializes in helping leaders and organizations build high-performing teams, optimize talent, and navigate career growth with confidence.

Stephanie began her career in retail operations, managing multimillion-dollar stores for Target and Lowe’s, where she honed her expertise in leadership development, professional growth, and operational excellence, and later served as a people strategist and recruiter with McMaster-Carr and senior-level recruiter with McKinsey & Company, before launching her own venture to provide specialized training, strategy & search support through BBC in 2023. She’s supported the esteemed Kevin Chase Executive Search firm as a Sr. Associate-At-Large, consulting on various mission-driven placements, and has a strategic partnership with DRiWaterstone Human Capital as an Executive trainer and consultant supporting inclusive search efforts. Known for her integrity and innovative solutions, she is passionate about creating career pathways and equipping professionals with the skills to excel.

She holds a Master’s in International Studies from the University of South Carolina, a Political Science degree (BA) from Queens University of Charlotte, and certifications in Lean Six Sigma (University of Georgia) and inclusive workplace strategy (University of South Florida).
